Today, my mom and I went to Winn-Dixie. I told her I was going to a different isle 5 minutes later I hear my name on the intercom to go to the front of the store. As I go I see my mom crying, she comes and hugs me and tells me she thought I was lost. Im 22, I had my cell phone, and I drove there. FML

#46: You are an idiot. Winn Dixies are still alive and well and there are atleast 3 in New Orleans alone. Winn Dixie is a grocery store.

winn-dixie went bankrupt in 2006. there used to be several where i used to live in south carolina, but they have all been closed down. all of them, all over the south. winn-dixie and food lion are simply regionally common stores in the southeastern united states. it's no different than quality markets is to the midwest and giant eagle and wegmans are to new england.

Seriously, people, it's a ******* typo. One letter. Haven't you ever been typing and just missed one letter? No? Oh, I guess you're just that perfect. And I honestly believe this one. So what if the poster is twenty-two and living with their mom, and shopping at a "cheaper" store? You don't know their financial situation so this might be the only thing that works for both of them. Or the poster WANTS to live with their mom. Yeah, that's a possibility in case you forgot. Or, y'know, their mom could have done it to screw with her kid. As in not being totally serious and irrational. That's what I would have thought.

#13 while I realize you were trying to be funny, being born on Feb 29th does not make you 1/4 your age... you may have only had 5 birthdays, but you've been alive 22 years and therefore are 22 years old, just like any other 22 year old.

I don't see the issue with being 22 and grocery shopping with your mom. News flash: I'm 22 and I sometimes do. Once you get over the "nobody understands me and my parents are Nazis" teen angst, lots of people realize their parents aren't nearly as bad as they thought, and actually WANT to spend time with them. And if the OP is in college and their mom is paying for their school, of course they'd still be at home.

dump your mom and get a life ;) sooner or later you need to tell em to let go

#92 is partially right. But on the other hand: 1) you should be independent by now, and 2) your mom has emotional, fear, and logic issues... and 3) sometimes people go to college and get room and board there.
