Today, my mom bought me some expensive Japanese candy. I opened it, and saw that each chewy candy was wrapped in a thin, hard to peel off wrapper. After trying to get each wrapper off, I determined they were unopen-able and threw them away. I then read the box, saying the wrappers were edible. FML

it's funny how everyone is saying read the label when I'm pretty sure none of u dumbasses do it yourself so get off the op's nuts

I'd have to disagree. Most people will check the label AFTER they can't figure it out and BEFORE they throw the item away. The OP has proven that she will not do so until AFTER she's mystified and AFTER she throws the item away. Mostly because she's an idiot.

you guys do know that there is more than one kind of Japanese candy with rice paper right? I like how we all assumed it was the cheap kind you get in the grocery store.

seeing as how there ARE more than one kind, unless you SPECIFICALLY go to Japan, OR go online to order them 99% of the time, it's going to be the cheap "supermarket" kind. That being said, there is NO "expensive" Japanese candy. Trust me. I'm Japanese. I know.

OP specifically said they were expensive. More than likely that means it was NOT the cheap kind, and was instead something that their mother bought offline, or in japan. And while the candy might not be too expensive, if it was bought online shipping might have cost an assload.

Wow dude, FYL. No, seriously...your life ******* sucks. I'm just impressed you're still willing to live life, day by day, toughing it out after having gone through such a horrible, traumatizing experience.
