From the time I can remember until I was in about 1st grade I used to hump blankets... I had no idea what I was doing or why people thought it was weird. Eventually my parents learned to ignore it and I grew out of it. It's perfectly normal. However, if my mother ever spoke a word of it I would be totally humiliated.

I've worked with little kids before and it's prefectly normal for them not only musturbate but to do it in a very violent way...so just don't worry :) Nothing's wrong with you :]

I think they don't want kids doing it as to control them and install some sense of decency and self-restraint in public. Its natural, yes, but so is vomiting. Vomiting isn't good for you. Rubbing yourself in public isn't good for you. If its common for little girls to do it, its no big deal. But just turning a blind eye to it isn't the answer either - it should be handled properly. Nonetheless, this isn't an FML story at all. My mom told one of my ex's that I used to dunk cookies in the toilet and eat them. No biggie - trust me, you'll live :)
