Today, my mom wouldn't let me go to the YMCA pool with the rest of the family. She said that the sound my thighs make when they rub together is "embarrassing". FML

Don't invite her to the next event you host because the sound her lips and vocal chords make are embarrassing.

I'm so sorry op, no one should ever force their child to not go to a fun family event because they are the ones unhappy with your body. That's not how it works. She is in fact, a bitch for this. And does not seem like a good mother.

If you really are fat then how come your not embarrassed yourself? ..Unless your one of those people who like to make other people want to stab their eyes out as if they were Oedipus when they see you in Walmart with your daisy dukes on and your spaghetti strap tank on. Otherwise if you hold an average BMI then don't pay her any mind.

Firstly, you're a douchebag. Secondly, you don't have to be fat to have thighs that touch. Whether or not your thighs touch depends on your bone structure and not the amount of fat you have

Wow that's bitchy screw her I'm sure you're absolutely beautiful

Wow that's a really ****** up thing to say , I'm sorry

I'm certain swimming counts as exercise. So.... I'm confused on why she would be stopping you from going. Why doesn't she keep her vain ugly self at home instead since apparently she is already perfect.

That's such a good point! Swimming is exercise. So she's not only going to condemn you for being overweight (assuming that you actually are) but she's not going to let you go exercise at a pool to lose this weight? Does she just intend to condemn you to a life of misery with no way of changing anything?

#86 - Sadly, a lot of people do exactly that. They complain that overweight people don't exercise, and then, when they see an overweight person exercise, they complain that they "have to see that," and "don't want to see all that wobbly-jobbly stuff," and other such remarks. They want their calorie-free cake to have and eat it, too. And they hate people for even existing in a size and/or shape of which they disapprove. They may agree that fat people should exercise, but only in the dank dark cellars of their fat-people homes, with all the curtains drawn, so no "real people" have to see that stuff. To all the overweight people in the world - I wish you all luck in finding a good gym or other exercise venue, that is filled with people who actually support you in healthy movement, and don't judge you based on your size. For goodness' sake, there are fat Olympic athletes, medalists, even! If they can exercise, you should be allowed to, as well. Don't let the judgy jerks get you down.

nobody at the YMCA cares about the sound your thighs make. they are too busy getting themselves healthy to judge. a mother should be the last person making these comments to her child

Sounds like my mom. Don't worry OP, just take it with a grain of salt. You're beautiful.

your mom needs a reality check im sure she is a lot more embarrassing than your thighs rubbing together. guess that means you can shun her from your wedding and family activities because she is to embarrassing
