Today, my mother found out that I'm sexually active. She wants me to tell my father. I'm seventeen, and my father still has trouble grasping the fact that I carry a purse, because it means I'm "growing up." This should be fun. FML

With me it's the other way around...my dad knows I haven't been a virgin since I was 14 and is OK with it, whereas my mom feels secure in the knowledge that I "waited 'til I was 18". Oh...and before you get pissy about me being too young...go and look up the complete age of consent laws in Germany, will you? Pretty please?

Thats bullshit and depends on Society and laws. In my country youre legally allowed to have sex with anyone when youre 16 and with <21 year old when youre 14-16 As long as you are allowed to by law and feel ready there is no need to not have sex if you want it. so cut the shaming.
