Move out before you're next..! No disrespect to you, but your mom is a full, complete bitch. FYL.
I would move out...that's just a douche move
That's horrible :( I know how close you can get to your pets, so it's crazy to think someone could do that! Not to mention how sad the dog must be! He has no idea what has happened; all he knows is that his family abandoned him and gave him away. I mean, I could understand how a dog can be very expensive (food, medical, supplies, hygiene maintenance, etc...) and in a money-tight family it may be necessary to sell the dog in order to meet ends. My grandparents once sold my father's horse for those very reasons...But even if that were the case, it's way too cold doing it without warning you. And that's assuming when you say "my dog" you really mean "family dog my parents pay for but I take care of." If it was really truly your dog that you bought and pay for, then I cannot comprehend wtf was going on in her mind.
I am not sure if this is mine, because they reworded it a little. I posted one this morning saying "My mother sold my dog to pay her bills. I do not live with her." It was my dog she was watching while I was out of town for the weekend. She did not buy the dog or have any real stake in it. She is also not impoverished.
Wow, that really ******* sucks. Do you know who she sold him to? You could try to take the money back, find the owner, then see if they will sell him back to you. Also, is the dog registered under your name? If so, and you have proof of ownership, at the very worst you can go to the police and report your mother for stealing/selling your dog. That is of course if you are willing to involve the law against her, but for doing something so horrible I'd say she'd deserve it.
Oh, never mind, I just saw your follow-up.
What a horrible disgusting mother. Sell her and get your dog back
and then you set the house on fire... no bills!
****. That sucks. Dick move on your moms part, hope you can get it back
Sell something of hers to pay for your broken heart.
like her wedding rings, that should get you enough to get the dog back.

Do you live with your mom? If you left the dog and moved out, then this is on you. You were responsible for your dog's well-being. You ditched the dog first. If you're under 18, then your mom's a bitch.
