I wouldn't worry about a nickname he wants everyone to use. I'd be concerned if he had a special "secret" nickname he wanted to keep between you and him, like Trouser Snake.

No. 61, it's Pablo Sandoval of the San Francisco Giants. His real nickname is "Kung Fu Panda" because he looks like the movie character but over time it got shortened to "Panda." That's what I was thinking; maybe this guy just looks like Pablo Sandoval.
