.... so are you using leaves for toilet paper?
I created an account solely to comment on this. I'm in a similar situation right now. I've struggled to scrape together something to eat the past 4-5 days, hoping to make it to yesterday's pay day when we could get some real groceries. Well, mom went grocery shopping without bothering to ask or check what was needed and came back with a bunch of crap that isn't food (e.g. a bunch of disgusting pop nobody will drink and does not substitute for food, laundry detergent, bleach) but little to nothing in the way of desperately needed food (ONE gallon of milk, ONE loaf of bread - that will not last in a house of 5 people) and completely missed other things we need as well (food for pets, I have no idea what they're going to eat either). I'm not sure about the OP or her mother, but I have tried writing grocery lists or outright doing the shopping myself. In my case, my mom doesn't bother or care to get groceries everybody needs, she's not considerate enough to check with other people what's needed or bring a list with her even if it's already written for her, and this time she didn't even warn us she was going. (She left the house with a friend to go have fun somewhere but also stopped at the grocery store on the way home and didn't tell anyone she was doing that.) I foresee having to skip meals the next week out of lack of food to eat and being so hungry that it hurts. I don't know if any of you have been in that situation, where you are HUNGRY to the point where you can not concentrate on other things and DO NOT have the means or money to get food. Similar to what I assume the OP is going through, I am unemployed, can't get a job, don't have a car to get to a job or a grocery store, don't have money to pay for groceries even if I could get there, and none of the rest of my family's cars are working right now so I can't even borrow someone else's car. I would love to be able to go to the store and buy my own groceries (I have in the past) but I just don't have the means. It's not laziness, I am not a lazy person, I truly do not have the means to do it. In case people hadn't noticed, we're in a recession and that means that jobs for younger people are harder to find. People with more experience are chosen first and people who are a little older who may not have bothered to say, take a job in retail or fast food, etc. that are typically done by a younger crowd, may be desperate enough to take these jobs, which means even less jobs available. I had been diligently searching for a job for months before I also lost the ability to get TO a job when a car was sold/cars started breaking down. Shit happens. Life sucks. I'm so ******* hungry.
So, what kind of pets do you have?
Seriously though. I strongly encourage you to call 911. The police will take you to Child Services (depending on your age), Welfare Services, or a hospital. I pay waaaaayyy too much money in taxes for ANY American to be mistreated or hungry. For a longer term solution, depending on your age, consider the Armed Forces. Meals, clothes, shelter. Good luck.... I will say a prayer for you.
I work full time and in the last 2 years I've had 2 weeks where I have had no food or money. One was when I bought a house with my, now ex, partner. We moved in 5 days before pay day and had been living with his parents. They didn't even give us a loaf of bread to tide us over! The second was when my ex left and out of pure spite he took EVERYTHING; food, furniture the lot. Came home one day and the house had been gutted. I was so lucky that both times I had people at work who bought me in anything they could spare. Two of my managers even bought us a weeks worth of meals when we moved in. I have never been so grateful in my life! It's never nice to feel that helpless though.
Look on the bright side, you can add Popsicles to your diet :)
that ahhh, that sucks
Exactly... or 911. Take care of yourself if mudder is not going to.
get a JOB lazy ass..... beggers cant be choosy....... mooch
fail.
If you are a child, why are you online telling us about it? You need to tell someone irl! If you are not a child grow a pair and tell your mum to buy proper food/get a job and buy your own food/ learn to cook and see what food is actually in the house!
maybe that money you used for that fancy smartphone you got there could have been used for food
