Today, my neighbor went on vacation, leaving me in charge of his cat and dog. For some reason, he calls his dog "Cat" and his cat "Dog". There are two pet food containers, one labeled "Cat" and the other labeled "Dog". I have no idea which one goes to which animal. FML

Pour it out and let them choose wat to eat

How is that an FML?? it's not a life or death situation.. nothing to be embarrassed about. Even if you were to feed them the wrong food, they won't die or tell you to the owner. Stop whining and feed them already.

Usually, food bowls have the pet's name on it. I would've put the cat food in the one that says dog, and the dog food on the one that says cat. Otherwise, let them choose what to eat.

Lol, sounds like a pair of neighbors who love to screw with heads. I would just be literal and give 'Dog' the 'dog food' and 'Cat' the 'cat food'...

Leave them both out. I have cats and dogs. They don't eat each others food.

Your pets might not eat each others food, but before our dog died he used to eat our cats food and the other way around all the time! Whichever the case, I don't think it really matters - it's not as if the dog is going to die of eating cat food!

your cat must have poisoned the food so the dog would die.

what difference does it make if you put it in the wrong bowl? Pour the dog food in - call the dog, get him started. Then call the cat (or get the cat) for the other.

I think its like canisters of kibble, not the bowls, that are labeled.

I guess it's true that sarcasm doesn't come across very well when written down...

You should be able to tell the difference if not you should not be watching animals

The cat food smells like trash, start with that.

Anyone else see the movie, The Stupids, with Tom Arnold? Wonder if that's where he got the idea for switching the pet names.
