Today, my neighbor went on vacation, leaving me in charge of his cat and dog. For some reason, he calls his dog "Cat" and his cat "Dog". There are two pet food containers, one labeled "Cat" and the other labeled "Dog". I have no idea which one goes to which animal. FML

Look at the shape if the food and smell it. If its fishy then it's for dog. If it smells more like mashed powder and chicken it's for cat

This is when you call and ask. Alternatively, put a bowl of each on the counter and see which one the cat eats. Give the other to the dog.

Dog food is usually much bigger than cat food, also cat food can have shapes such as fish and stuff so just look at them to try to find a difference. :)

You're kind of an idiot if you don't know the difference between cat and dog food just by the look of them!!

Easy. Give the biggest one to the dog. Unless, that is, they are the same size? Then it doesn't matter. Or if one smells like fish give it to what most people commonly call a cat.

Clean both bowls and feed each one whichever is more convenient. Then, before your neighbor returns clean the bowls again.

if he calls his cat "dog" and his dog "cat", the one labeled "dog" is for the cat, and the another labeled "cat" is for the dog. genius!

Dry Cat food is typically smaller in size unless the dog is tiny
