Today, my new $100 electronic cigarette came in the mail. I was so excited to try it out, I used it on the drive to work. The people who sold it to me weren't kidding when they said it looked and felt real. I threw it out the window when I was done. FML

YDI for choosing to quit smoking by smoking something else that has properties of antifreeze and God knows what else in it. why don't you just quit and stop trying to use a crutch?

Smoking is disgusting and so is littering. Yes, cigarette butts are litter. Way worse than throwing down, say, a gum wrapper.

its chantix not champix and for those of you that say to piss off because e cigs are not dangerous. just type in "are e cigs harmful" into google and look at the fda articles and other reliable resources that say otherwise.

Chantix? You mean the pill that has numerous studies and an FDA public health advisory for seriously increased suicidal behavior? The FDA reports on e-cigs are a joke. They don't compare e-cigs to regular cigs. They don't compare e-cigs to other nicotine delivery devices like the patch and gum. If you take the time to read through all the reports on all nicotine related products, you'll actually find that e-cigs are less harmful. All forms of nicotine have carcinogens. So does peanut butter. As well as food cooked on the bbq. Oh and don't forget fried food has them too. That scary anti-freeze chemical (diethylene glycol) was found in only 1 of the tested cartridges and in a non-toxic dose. It is used in tobacco production to keep it moist and since nicotine liquid is distilled from tobacco, it's not surprising that small amounts of the chemicals are still found. This chemical is also in fog machines, skin lotion and deodorant. At the end of the day, e-cigs still have fewer harmful chemicals and in smaller doses than regular cigs. If a person can switch over and reduce the nicotine amounts down to the 0mg liquid, isn't that still better than bothering you anti-smokers with 2nd hand smoke?
