Today, my mom scolded me and threatened to ground me for coming home past midnight. Normally, it wouldn't be unreasonable, except for the fact that I'm 24 years-old, and that my parents live with me, in my own house. FML

Today, my parents yelled at me for coming home drunk from a party last night. They said I couldn't hang out with my best friend anymore as he's a "bad influence". He was the only one sober in our group and drove me home safely. FML

Today, I came home after a party to my parents, who confronted me. They said that my phone had made a pocket call to them and they heard a good half hour of people talking about drugs and alcohol. I confessed at that point. I checked my phone after. I hadn't called them in 3 days. FML

LMAO you live with you parents. I'm 23 and I lived with my parents for a year now. When I am at my parents house they don't set a curfew for me but if they did I would follow it.

MAYBE he was just visiting the city he grew up in especially for his friend's birthday, and actually lives somewhere else? I know if I had to go back home I would stay with my parents. He never said he lived at home permanently... It would make more sense as well, because the parents would not be used to being woken up late at night for a long time, and therefore more grumpy about it.
