Yeah because it's TOTALLY okay for a woman to hit a man, but not the other way around. I get that he should've punched her back, but seriously. That doesn't mean he needs to "man up", she shouldn't have hit him. And before women start jumping on my ass about what I just said, I'm female too. Women are fighting for equal rights that men have, but then want to cry and scream when they hit a man and the man hits back. I understand there things like abuse and all that, but men can abused as well. Respect is a two way street, and men have rights that need to be respected just as much as women's rights do. Not one more than the other.

In the sense that 'male violence is taken more seriously than female violence because all women are assumed to be weaker than all men', yes. Privilege isn't a blanket statement that's invalidated by exceptions - it's a societal tendency to favor one over another. Men are assumed to be stronger. This can work against us, but it can lead to things like a physical job being given to an unqualified man who can't lift a certain amount of weight without becoming exhausted easily, while a qualified woman who could easily do it is passed over.
