Have you read all of these comments? The majority are saying that these girls deserved anything they got. For enjoying doing something that doesn't make them attractive. I just read one that says, "Duckface bitches are retarded and should be treated as such". Almost every comment is extremely disrespectful to women. If you mean that it's stupid for boys or girls to do the duckface, I seriously doubt that any of these men or women would care so strongly about this if a man were doing it. This entire scenario is pretty much an example of sexist values being held towards women. I'm not saying that he deserved to be beaten up or anything, but he definitely does not deserve the praise and respect that almost every person on here is giving him, he deserves the level of respect that these commenters are giving to the women that were harassed by him.

I honestly have not, and I don't think I've even seen a guy doing it, much less heard about guys doing it. So I can't comment what you have seen or heard. I have only ever seen or heard of girls being ripped apart for doing this, and I've seen it happen a lot. I get that the site is for fun, but when fun turns sexist it stops being fun. I'm not going to just ignore something that I find offensive because people are having fun. I'm not commenting on this because I want to make everything about misogyny, I want people to examine what they're doing and hopefully learn to have more respect for other people.

Well I did already acknowledge that he didn't deserve to be beaten up and put in the hospital. It was indeed an overreaction, but that wasn't the problem that I was addressing. I'm not going to coddle him for putting himself in a situation where he was harassing and disrespecting women. It's pretty immature of you to try to act like him going to the hospital doesn't mean that he was doing something wrong. If he hadn't been acting like a disrespectful jerk, those guys would not have felt like they needed to come to the defense of the women he decided to harass.

Once again, I realize that and agree that it was undeserved. I have in no way claimed that he deserved it or that I'm happy about him being seriously injured. This man set out with the intention of throwing bread at girls and mocking them, which I find to be sexist and obnoxious and am calling it out as such. I'm not saying that he's a monster and worthy of hatred, I'm saying that he may have been playing a joke, but it was obnoxious and sexist and you can make jokes and pull pranks without resorting to that. I was mildly annoyed while reading the post, and then after reading the comments I felt it was necessary to address the sexist attitude that many of the commenters seem to share with him. Seeing as many other commenters have stated that the boyfriends' behavior was ridiculous and an overreaction, it seems pretty reasonable for me to address the fact that very few other commenters are doing anything other than praising this jerk for acting like a jerk. If you think that someone reasonably pointing out obnoxious behavior is just whining and should shut up, then you're probably part of the problem.
