Today, my son got in trouble at school. The kids had to solve a problem by determining whether it was better for "Edna" to repair or replace her AC unit. He said Edna is an "old person's name" and she was "probably going to die soon anyway", so she shouldn't do either. FML

Aunt Edna is not alright, Clark! She's dead!!!

Modern math would be is it better for Monique to repair or replace her vibrator.

I'm failing to see the problem here… lol

He got in trouble? I would understand if he Insulted someone in the class with the name Edna but anything more then a phone call home seems kinda rash, just tell him it's rude to disrupt the class and also rude to make fun of elderly, even if it's kinda funny :)

Making fun of elderly is not rude. What is rude is making fun of people who respect you. Trust me, I work with elderly people. Some of them are horrible individuals. Some are amazing.

Just at the top of my head, I know two 18-year-old Ednas. Lol.

Yup because people change their names to assure it fits their age. Lol logic.

No. people named their kid Edna when Edna was a kid. people rarely name their kids Edna now. therefore, Edna is a name that predominantly old people who were born when Edna was more popular have. That's logic.

My middle name is Edna, it's taken awhile but I dig it.
