I agree, that is an FML moment, especially having to explain to people that you are actually not an Ivy-Leaguer. Last year this time, if I had gotten rejected from UPenn and only gotten into Penn state, I would've been devastated. UPenn might not have the best football team ever, but watching college football won't get you anywhere in life. It's also not true that Penn State people have more fun because they are located in the middle of nowhere, how much fun can you have in frat houses? THere are tons of clubs in Philly that we can go to, and if there's nothing great around here, we are only a short train ride away from NYC, where everything is happening. Also, I think Penn State people blindly believe that they are just the best at everything, it's such a joke for penn state to brag about their business school when we have Wharton.

We are PENN STATE ;-) And #37...PSU has gotten me plenty in life. UPenn...not much fun. And please...Philly? A sorry excuse for a city. So, go enjoy your Ivy league. And we'll kick your ass in other placces.

#37: UPenn is obviously a damn good school, but I'm not going around and bragging about it like a pompous ass. We blindly believe we're the best at everything? From the looks of your post, you're the one who really needs to get that giant metal pole removed from their ass. People look for different things in different schools. Doesn't mean we have any less fun (far from it) or get a joke of an education. Get over yourself.

It's not like Upenn is really considered an Ivy League school in any way except the athletic conference and price tag (unless you were accepted in the MBA program). No real big loss. Study hard and, even as a Penn St. undergrad, you could get into a decent grad school.
