Today, my students took my glasses, hid them from me, and called me a turtle when I squinted my eyes trying to look for them. This carried on for about 25 minutes. FML

This is what happens when teachers are no longer allowed to touch the students. You kids want to fight for freedom but give the adults ample ammo to discipline you? Smh

No no no no and just no! That is not the reason! Do you think going up to a grade 1 and DRAGGING THEM BY THEIR ARM to the office is going to help a situation? I witnessed this when I was a kid and it only made things worse no what has caused this is the media, peer pressure, and so many other issues that I'm not even going to get into it. I've been in 5 schools as a coop and am in college to work with kids and I have NEVER laid my hand on a student yet the situation wa resolved. Weird, huh?

But you still need the parents' consent first, right? Not too many parents would allow someone else to touch their kids. But watch out when Jr. gets home, though! Lol Paddling was also allowed in my school growing up but I was a good student back then. I only had detention once and had to write my times tables to the 12s. I think I would have rather taken one or two quick spanks, given the choice.

You should have thrown off all your clothes and said you were a Naked Mole Rat. You'd have gotten your glasses back in five seconds, and the students would probably have chipped in to buy you Lasik surgery so no one ever had to see that again!
