Today, my unemployed boyfriend and I went to the casino. I gave him twenty dollars to play on. He won $1000 on a dollar machine then jackpotted the ten dollar machine for $20,000. When we got home he broke up with me. I have been working two jobs to get our own place. Move in Date?? 2 weeks. FML

I agree that you've just got the best break you've had in a while, and it only cost you $20. My bet is that he will burn through the $20k pretty quickly. You, on the other hand, can get moved in to your own, drop one of the jobs and start living again. Good luck - and BTW, if you want someone to give *you* $20 to go to the casino with, just let me know. :o)

Think of this as a cheap ($20.00) preview of the future without having to move in with that asshole. If he does this to you now, what is he going to do if you get pregnant or sick? I don't see any caregiver potential in that worthless POS. You actually won on this. Treat yourself with more respect and find someone who is worthy of you. My brother would love to have a girlfriend who actually worked two jobs to help out his relationship funding instead of the spongers that always seem to gravitate toward him. Don't waste your youth/beauty on those who are beneath you.

^^ This I guess this is an FYL but it's more of a win IMO. You're really only out $20 since you never had the gambling winnings either way. And you found out your ex-boyfriend is 1) a moron and 2) an asshole. It's better to find that out now when you can afford it then later when you can't.

At least you seem to think you were able to pay for the housing on your own - could be much worse, he could have ditched you leaving you unable to pay. Besides, a guy who things $20k is enough to get by on seems a little delusional, so at least you won't have him sucking your funds dry on stupid stuff. Sucks that he was such a jerk though.

Not that I am calling fake, because it irritates me when ppl do that, but seriously? All of the FMLs I hear ppl bitch about being fake and not one single person says anything about some guy who wins multiple 10+ thousand dollar jackpots in one day? @OP that truly sucks, but I have always said that If I could just pay people up front to find out they are assholes who are going to use me and screw me over I would just give them the money when I first met them and be glad to have gotten out of being screwed over. Sorry you had to go through this. FYL
