Today, my very good friend ratted me out to my boss because I used the photocopier for personal use. He said he will always be my friend, but "rules are rules." FML

I think it depends on what kind of 'personal use' is meant here. I mean, if it was one paper or whatever, yeah that sucks. If it was like a novel, and someone else got yelled at for wasting the papers then I don't think you really have a right to complain here...

what happened to friends getting each other's backs??? seriously? using the photo copier for personal use? i run a communications shop, and hell, free copying, free faxing, free scanning... all just perks of the job.

Well he is kind of failing his life in terms of the good friends he picked... I mean seriously why bother? I wouldn't tell my boss if I disliked the person, especially volunteering the information, it's just petty.

HAHAHA do not lie to yourself. Your ugly fat ass does not have any friends your loser. stop calling your blow up doll your best friend. You have no friends and never had any friends. Your fat loser ass just sits at home and plays with yourself all day to pictures of farm animals you peice of shit waste of life loser. Your parents must be pissed having you as a kid

I'm not really sure what to say on this one. On the one hand, rules are rules, but on the other hand, misuse of the copier is a fairly minor thing. Either way, this doesn't seem on the level of an FML.

I partially take your friend's side. I think he should have brought it up with you first, rather than getting you in trouble outright, but he's right: you need to follow the rules. Granted this was minor, but do you expect him to cover your ass all the time? A good friend doesn't expect such things from their friends.
