Today, my younger sister stopped talking to me. I got engaged to my boyfriend of 4 years and apparently, she's been in love with him since she met him. Through me. She's 12. FML

She's a pubescent girl. She'll get over it. Maybe sometime you two can look back on it and laugh.

Don't worry about her. She's just jealous.

Ah young love, especially from a sibling. Don't worry about it OP, she'll grow out of it. She'll just listen to some music and throw a temper tantrum here and there. Don't be to worried about it. Time will pass and she'll be your friend and sister again. I know since I went through the same with my younger sister.

Be careful she could be your competition in the future with her young and gorgeous and you old as a prune XP

It does say that it was her *younger* sister...

Awwhh! I found this cute. My two sisters are 8 and 6 years older than me... One had many boyfriends when she was a teenager/young adult and I often "fell in love" with each. I think it's really a form of flattery/admiration to you ( she wants to be just like you!) and probably also some jealousy. She doesn't want her big sis being taken away so maybe being in love with him is her way of rationalizing it instead of admitting that she'll miss you! Just suggestions :)

Yep. It's actually quite adorable. Reminds me of the crush I had on my older cousin's boyfriend when I was younger. I cried when they broke up because I knew it meant I'd never see him again. But then her next guy was even better....

Maybe she'll be ashamed when you two remember it and laugh at it.

I wouldn't worry to much about it. Just talk to her about it and explain that one day she will be meet the man that she will love forever.
