My grandparents have been living in a metal trailer with no AC in 95+ summers for forty years. I think you can wait six days.
I've never had an AC in my house and I've survived with temperatures as high as 112 so go buy a fan and take a lot of cold showers, drink a lot of water and quit bitchin
All I can suggest is use this opportunity to go crazy (throw parties, mess the house up) and/or ignore the plants. You'll probably get in trouble but you won't be left in this situation ever again! :D
Speaking as a Texan with a recently defunct air conditioner, no ones going to want to party in that sauna. Strenuous activity required to "mess the house up" is also a very bad idea. My advise to the OP is to crash their little resort vaca unannounced and refuse to leave. Or call CPA and report this blantant child abuse...your choice.
Ydi for not knowing how to fix an ac unit
Screw the plants
Somebody has to protect the family grow-op.
