Today, the day before my wife and I leave for our 1 year anniversary trip, I realized my passport expires in 2014, not 2015. Instead of a week's stay at an all-inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic, we'll be spending three days in Louisville. Three angry days in Louisville. FML

You know what they way procrastination is like ************ feels good while you're doing it but in the end you are just ******* yourself.

If I was your wife I would definitely be going to the Dominican Republic by myself!

Almost had a similar problem with my boyfriend. We tried to go get a passport twelve days before our trip, we received the passport the day before we were leaving.

I'd be angry too. I HATE when people don't double check important things and plan in advance. Especially when this laziness costs money and/or time, because I'm guessing you won't be getting the money back on the original trip.

hey, Louisville isnt that bad! I live here! theres lots to explore lol

I was there this morning! A lady honked at me because I wouldn't turn right on red while people who had the right-away were coming through the intersection. Other than that, I had a good time!

That sucks, but where you go for your honeymoon, as long as you're with someone you love it shouldn't matter. Enjoy the time you have with that person. :)

If you go to the passport office with your tickets in hand showing them when you leave and explain to them that you were unaware of the issue till now, you can get your passport made that same day for about a $70 fee along with what the passport normally cost. I had to do this and I witnessed a family of five who was on vacation in the same office getting their same day passports.

I live in Louisville and to be honest, I'd just stay in Ohio, prob more to do there than here.

If you had this planned months ahead, you should have checked your passport
