Today, the girl I've loved for years kissed me. Then she started crying and wiping her mouth, and had a panic attack. I had to help her through it, tell her that it was no big deal, and that it would never happen again. FML

Unfortunately, she said she has no idea why she kissed me. She said she is confused and doesn't know, and I told her to think about it. She said she just didn't know, but it was probably to test the waters. She did enjoy the kiss, if that makes up for anything.

Declare your love for her and tell her the day she kissed you was the best day of your life, don't hide it. Maybe she feels the same and didn't want to lose you as a friend, hence why she panicked.

I sympathize OP. This happened to me and my guy best friend, in exactly the same roles. It was a time of huge transition for me and feelings just got crossed. I realized the next morning I had done a horrible and stupid thing (I knew my friend's feelings at the time). I all but boarded up the windows of my house. He rushed over and demanded that I talk to him. He said he'd rather has me only as a friend then to not have me at all. In the end? We are still best friends 10 years later and with different people.

I'd say more of a ****-her-life. Imagine the embarrassment and stress of finally kissing the person you like and then having a panic attack.

if anyone is keeping tabs on this, then the two of us have to decided to just forget it ever happened. We resumed our close friendship and she decided she does not like me in the slightest, and now my love for her is seeming to diminish. she is purely my best friend and I've been given the bro-zone, so I guess everything will be fine. X3 Life goes on.

sometime, having a true friend, is better. unfortunately when both or you get serious with someone else, that person probably won't understand the friendship.

I know it's no use to you now, but sometimes awkward is the best way to go. I know I'd feel a lot less guilty of the guy said 'unless you want to' at the end ? But then, I don't get panic attacks. And women are hard to understand to other women.
