It's stinks because there really is no way to go about this without hurting her feelings. If you tell her the truth she's going to be hurt. If you lie and say you can't take her for other reasons, she may take it personally because you give other people rides. Best of luck.
Must be a pretty shitty motorcycle if it couldn't support her.
Probably totally not the case. My hubby rides a Harley and going over bumps with the two of us isn't good for the suspension, it bottoms out. Neither of us are heavy. But most bikes are typically calibrated for one rider, not a passenger as well. Shocks can be adjusted to accommodate heavy loads though.
Though it was rude, you can't take someone that is too heavy on a motorcycle. It would cause the driver to have more issues with making turns and such.
It wasn't rude of OP to refuse her a ride in the least.
How is it rude? OP did not create the situation, nor can he do anything to remedy it. The fact that she exceeds the weight limit is just that: a fact. If she is bothered by it, perhaps she'll take some steps to change her situation.
You did the right thing. And hey, maybe you can do something together and once she gets down to a healthier weight take her out for a ride that doesn't break your bike.
Hellooo from the other sideeee
That's just disgustingly rude. You clearly have no people skills.
Offer to do something else with her instead. She doesn't get her feelings hurt and you both get a date out of it. Win all the way around
It sucks that you had to tell her that, but at least it proves you're a decent guy because you felt bad about it.
That's so sad OP, hopefully you were able to make it up to her
or don't lie and be honest. She is a danger and would probably ask again another time. better to be upfront. smh

That's the worst dude. I hope you let her down softly.
Dang, that sucks OP. Hopefully she understands
