No joke, all solar eclipse glasses were sold out. Even all the welding goggles were sold out at the hardware stores.

I watched the eclipse without glasses, and I don't think I'm blind.. All it gave me was sun spots for a bit..
Just for the record, there are other ways to watch a solar eclpse. They aren't as safe though, since they don't really block UV rays. One of them is to watch through an analog movie film. But considering most people don't just carry those around, you can just improvise a filter. You'll only need some glass (as uncurved as possible, if you have a glass bottle just break it and use one of the bigger shards) and something that burns(matches, candles, lighter, anything really). You just need to "burn" the glass a bit so it becomes smoky. Now look through it. Voilá! You can now watch the eclipse :).
Just use a welding helmet if u have one they are the same thing
it was too cloudy out where i live :( and it was the first time in a loooong time where we got one.
I feel for you that your life is that vacuous, that you would consider possibly going blind an option.
Piece of paper, reading glasses. Use the reading glasses to reflect it on the paper.
Pretty simple choice in my view
I'd pull out my camera/camera phone and watch that screen
