Today, uncertain of having a job next month or being able to pay rent, I'm filling out tens of online surveys a day for gift cards to McDonald's, to buy hamburgers that I can freeze so I will have food for the coming months. FML

Hey...you gotta do what you gotta do...more power to you

Maybe spend that time applying for jobs, instead of online surveys?

That's actually pretty smart. It sucks for sure, but at least you'll eat.

That same amount of time could have been used to fill out the online surveys for employment at said McDonald's. Or Burger King. Giant Eagle. Kroger. Wal-Mart. Target. Taco Bell. Chipotle. Qdoba. Various call centers. Banks, even. Maybe one of those wouldn't be your top choice, but it would be preferable to living in your car or on the street, eh?

....wouldn't it make more sense to just look for a new, more stable job?

instead of filling out the apps for gift cards try filing out actual application to jobs! I bet that will help tons!

maybe you should try unemployment thwy help you find jobs too they got resume classes and other stuff

A nice can of Ostromming will make all your troubles float away.

Somehow I doubt all those burgers will keep that long, or that your efforts are directed in the right direction. Oh, wait, if you can't pay your rent, where is your damn fridge gonna be? Way to think this through.

Well, it IS McDonald's, that sh** lasts forever, even bugs won't eat it, so it doesn't decompose or go bad very fast...

... Or, now here's a crazy idea.. But what if instead of wasting time filling out surveys, you used that time and applied for jobs?! How on earth does 'find another job' not come to mind before 'swindle fast food and freeze it for the future'?!

So, instead of doing that, why wouldn't you be filling out employment applications? This seems like a better idea to me. And, if you can't pay rent, where will you be freezing all those hamburgers at anyway?
