Today, it's my 22nd birthday. The only person who remembered was the dentist who sent me a postcard in the mail. I stopped going to him four years ago. FML

Today, I turned 22. Instead of cutting my own cake, I stood by and smiled at a friend's belated birthday party. Her birthday was actually two months ago, but she decided to have her party on my birthday. No one remembered mine but everyone got her beautiful gifts. FML

Today, the only person who remembered my birthday was my stalker ex. He left condoms, birth control, furry handcuffs, and a lingerie set in my mailbox, with a note saying to prepare for our anniversary. We went out for a week. In sixth grade. FML

Today, I'm depressed because my long-time dentist, who I've had for nearly two decades, is retiring and I'm having my last appointment with him. It's also depressing that one of my only meaningful relationships is with my dentist. FML

Today, it's my birthday. I have gotten three calls all day. The first one was my fiancee, saying he wanted his ring back. I hate the forgetfuls. To everyone haveing a birthday out there that no one remembers: I am remembering you and wish you a very Happy Birthday. If my ass would handle all the cupcakes, I'd have one for you all. But, as it is, I'm pushing maximum density and am very nearly becoming a solid. But, a hug to you all. We just need to know we are loved and important to someone. In being important or loved means we exist and have meaning. Hugs! It's gonna be ok.

Do you know the exact birthday of every one of your family members and friends? You have to make a big deal out of your own birthday if you want some attention for it. I learned that years ago.
