Today, was my wedding night. We had decided to wait until marriage to have sex. When I undressed and smiled at my new wife, she burst into tears and cried, "please don't make me do this." FML

I'm sorry to hear that. Please be patient with her, hopefully she'll come around soon!

I'm sure she's just nervous and clearly has very little idea about sex... sounds like her parents told her it was a scary bad thing and left it at that.

Waiting until marriage made alot of sense back when people got married at the start of puberty. It also made more sense when slaves weren't considered people, so it was ok to have sex with them (kinda messed up logic to me, but whatever floats their boat). Just so it will make even more sense, it didn't matter if the woman passed out or was afraid because it was the man's duty to have his wife. These days people start lives before marriage, don't have sex slaves, and think rape is bad. Waiting is a bad idea.

Past sexual assault could explain her nervousness, but there's also the possibility that she was brought up to think that sex was some dirty, sinful act and it's holding her back. I'd say sit down and have a long talk about it. If it's a result of what her parents drilled into her head ever since she was 10, with enough patience you should be able to work through it. If she's been sexually assaulted, a trip to a shrink may be warranted.

"was my wedding night and my husband and I had decided to not have sex until marriage. When I had undressed and was lying on the bed, my husband took off his clothes and, in panic, I yelled "Please don't make me do this!", like in role-play. He took it the wrong way and now he thinks I hate him." I saw this while moderating FMLs! Hahahaha!

wtf? no one was making her have sex. hopefully. good lord, she sounds like a whiny bitch. sorry.

Yikes. I'm truly sorry. But if you love her enough to marry her, you could wait. Love= cool. :)

You and your wife both sound sheltered and prudish.

Originally I was going to wait before marriage, and I'm not even religious. I just wanted to find a guy who actually gave a shit about me before doing it. Luckily, I did, and had sex and now we're engaged. So, sex before marriage is good when done right. Waiting until marriage is fine, too, as long as you go about it rationally. Everyone on here quit being such dicks, she isn't a whiny bitch. Obviously you should never marry for being such assholes. Some good advice: talk to her about it. Next time do some foreplay, light some candles instead of just TA-DAing her.

So has no one thought that maybe, just maybe, they didn't have sex on that first night, and then she changed her mind the next day and that the only reason he put an FML was because he had waited so long and on the day he expected to have sex it didn't happen? Annul a marriage because of no sex on the first night? Christ, some people are stupid..

A. She could be gay, and simply got married because thats what society expects from her. B. She could be a-sexual, but still love you. C. Something could have happened to her when she was younger. D. She could have vagisimus, a condition in which it is extremely painful for the woman to have sex. This may be another reason she decided to wait to have it-because she was afraid after trying to have sex before. (If this is the case, she should see a doctor and a sex therapist)

she's obviously gay because OP is the same gender. Why can't you guys read?
