Today, we had a meeting at my job and we had to introduce new ideas to our boss. Earlier, I was talking to one of my close friends who also attended the meeting about my idea. As we start the meeting, she decides to steal my idea and take complete credit for it. My boss loves "her" idea. FML

Hopefully she is now an ex friend. Cut her off, you don't need people like her in your life.

Slight naiveté. Reveal your good ideas after you've gotten credit for them. That said, I've fallen victim to this a few times before, so FML and not YDI. I know how we can sometimes be lulled into a sense of trust with the ways we describe our friends - "close", "best", "long-time", etc. There's a word that's also associated with these friends, and it's "human".

Guess who's not friends anymore

Looks like it's time to unscrew her desk chair legs

Guess you need to watch what you tell her from now on hey?

Or, next time, email the idea to the boss right before you mention it to her. Add "I'm going to run this idea by (the bitch's name) and see what she thinks...." and then wait......

Loose lips sink ships.... sorry OP - word of advice, next time take credit for your idea AFTER you present it to the boss.

I'm so sorry OP. Hopefully you got her out of your life. True friends don't pull that bs!

"I'm going to pitch my idea for new bite-sized Twix-" *passes out*
