I feel bad for your ex OP. It's obvious to me she's doing a bit of 'you can't break up with me if we never dated' logic-voodoo; probably to help herself cope with the break up which may have been unexpected on her part. Just give the idea time to settle with her and even if she sticks to that story don't feel too bad, we all have ways of protecting ourselves and this is just hers.

It seems like that could have been her coping mechanism to act indifferent. It probably hurt her a lot more than she led on. That, or she was that painfully oblivious.

Did you kiss her? In 2 years I doubt you guys never kissed (unless you're really young or something), and friends don't just makeout either (unless friends with benefits I suppose) this seems a little hard to believe..
