Just ask him why he wanted to be alone and dont make a fuss about it. Its quite normal that a partner needs his alone time from time to time. He could just have said that though.

Dont take it the wrong way, I do the same thing. Doesnt mean I love my bf any less. Its okay to have alone time, its the best benefit of not being married :D
