You Sir Are An Idiot
is it not illegal where you are? in Australia if you so much as grab your phone you can be booked. because we don't care about your shit. pull over if you need to make or take a ******* call.
I'll give you a hint. Even EMS providers won't dare try to honk at drivers too distracted to move out of the way. Just try to get past them. Then feel blessed you aren't going to be the one who she careens into.
You are an idiot. You honestly believe everyone talking on a phone while driving is going to kill someone? some people can multitask. ydi
I assume you're the guy who also says "I drive better when I'm drunk!" Talking on a phone impairs your concentration to the equivalent of about 0.08% blood alcohol content. Go read the research by Strayer et al; it's over 5 years old, frankly I'm amazed anyone still thinks that driving while talking on a phone is safe.
no I don't say I drive better drunk. but that statistic is ridiculous, I'm not saying talking on the phone while driving isn't distracting to some people but it isn't for everyone.
Well let's play this intelligently; I've provided a peer reviewed (and accepted) source, to which I can find no addendums for someone who's just super duper great at concentrating. So, excuse my scepticism over your anecdotal evidence, but I'm hoping you can provide some research of reasonable providence that goes the other way and demonstrates that even a small fraction of people are indeed higher beings, capable of incredible feats of concentration, unaffected by the distractions which cripple we weaker mortals. Frankly, you're full of it, as is anyone who thinks they're infallible in this scenario. You may like to think you're safe, that you're somehow different, better than everyone else; that's practically the drink-driver's credo, but it only takes someone saying something thought-provoking on the other end of the phone causing a half second loss of concentration which coincides with a child stepping out, or an emergency stop ahead of you and you've caused an unnecessary accident. If you drive while talking on a phone you endanger lives which need not be endangered; it really is that simple.
and if u blare your horn at someone needlessly and arent paying attention to where your going your a hazard too
**** the bitch and her phone and **** all you rubberneckers to stupid *****
How dumb can you get? Apparently pretty dumb. If YOU could control yourself none of this would be happening. Read these comments and take it to heart
352 - honking a horn in "this contex" was illegal u dumb ass. it was not an emergency and it was not a immediate threat to ne one. therefore since it wasnt an emergency the horn honk was, guess what, ILLEGAL! it distracted her more than she was and anyone else that was driving around them hes lucky he didnt cause more than just one accident
It isn't illegal everywhere you idiot! (hmm, haven't I read that somewhere before?) This FML is from the UK where, if another road user poses a danger, that is an acceptable reason. As using the phone whilst driving is banned in the UK due to the dangers it was decided that caused, then it could be argued that this was an acceptable reason. (The world is bigger than just Wisconsin you know...)
posing a danger would have been her swerving all over the road and putting others in danger which he did not say she was doing. he never said she wasnt looking where she was going while talking on the phone ass hole. therefore since she wasnt going to hit someone until he blared his horn its his own dam fault and he got what he deserved. yeah world is bigger than WI, bigger than UK too retard.
also, again, u sound like a dumb ass sayin whilst all the ****** time.
The world is indeed bigger than the UK... This FML is specifically related to the fact it's based in the UK however. Perhaps you should ask someone to read my comments to you very slowly so that you understand as you appear to struggle with the reading and understanding aspect on your own. (Perhaps you're trying to read on your phone whilst driving?)
Seriously? Would be murderers? You can talk on your cellphone and be totally aware of your surroundings. As long as you're looking at the road you are fine. Try not being a drama queen! Mind your own business. YDI
Actually, pretty much all research into the field shows that you can't. Over a 1 year period (2009) in the US, 20% of all road fatalities were deemed to be caused by people talking on their phones. Peer reviewed research indicated that talking on a phone while driving adjusts your concentration to roughly that of someone who's blood alcohol is 0.08%. Furthermore, in the OP's country, driving while talking on a phone IS illegal without some form of hands free device (all but a very small number of cars are manual; both hands are needed to steer while changing gears).

Hahah... Should've known better
