Today, I was fiddling with a ring my aunt hand made me, accidentally slipping it off, and dropped it in the toilet. Like an idiot, I scrambled to get it out only for my bending over to activate the automatic flush. FML

Today, after just having used the bathroom, my ring fell in the toilet. After stealthily removing it with a toothbrush, I went to go wash it in the sink. It then fell down the drain. FML

Today, while pooping at work, I was scrolling through social media. I dropped my phone in the toilet and the automatic flusher engaged, flushing my phone halfway into the pipes, which then flooded the toilet. I had to call maintenance and explain what happened to retrieve phone. FML

Today, I accidentally dropped my engagement ring down a sewer. To my surprise, the sewer water was frozen and my ring sat on top. During my efforts to retrieve it, I had to watch as the ice slowly melted due to the warm day. The ring sank further and further until it was completely gone. FML

Today, I was changing my shirt in the bathroom when I dropped it. It fell on my foot, so I decided to flip it up with my foot instead of bending down to get it. I flipped it, and it landed in the toilet. Which somebody had not flushed. FML

Hire a plumber or call the building manager to help you. Toilets have traps often and you might be able to recover it. My own daughter lost her wedding ring in the sink at my office building and I removed the trap myself and recovered the ring.

That really blows....but how exactly does a ring just fall off? I think rings are supposed to fit tighter than that (or else don't wear it until it's fitted obviously). Did you become a skeleton lately? Totally deserved it.

Yo one day my cousin got married over the summer at a beach...literally within the next day when he went in the ocean, his ring fell off and got lost. this was less than 24 hours when he got married, & lost the ring
