Today, while observing a surgery, I was asked to open a glass ampule of adrenaline. Not only did I break it and get it everywhere, I sliced open my thumb bad enough to need stitches. FML

Hate the ampules and always slice my finger. I bought an ampule opener but often forget it and just use an alcohol swab as protection. Better luck next time op

The ampoules are a bitch to open sometimes - it has nothing to do with steady hands. I've worked health care 20 years and still have the occasional breakage
