Today, while sitting in a waiting room, a man assured me "The safety's on" after he handed his kid his BB gun. A minute later, I practically had a hole in my foot. FML

why would they bring a BB gun in a waiting room in the first place? that's not safe, those should only be used in a big open area with no other people around. That sucks.

First off why did you not check to see if the safety was really on? Second off why did you pull the tigger? Third why would you aim it at your foot. Sorry but YDI. If you have no knowledge of firearms you should not even handle it or taken it. Even you did you should know enough to not pull the tigger even if the safety was supposedly on.

"Kid, you'll shoot your eye out...." Sounds like someone was too young to understand the rule of firearm safety that says "always point the muzzle in a safe direction" as well as the one that says "always keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to fire." Yeah, it's only a BB gun, but.... Keep yer booger-hook off the bang-switch.

It's idiots like this guy who cause the government to try and outlaw guns, dumb asses who don't know what the **** their doing. I was taught to shoot at 8 years old and how to correctly and safely use a firearm, to include don't point it anybody it's not a toy and keep your hand off the damn trigger regardless of if the safety is on
