Then you pull him out of the water by the hair and as he coughing and sputtering water you tell him that "Whales kill people...a lot" and then you throw him back in the water and walk out of the pool with the song Big Pimpin' playing in the background.

It's a relative size issue. You're bigger than him. He could have said shark or large seal or dolphin but what do kids see in book? Fish, turtles, and whales. Sharks and dolphins, not so much. You=bigger than him=whale.

I think that since you are teaching a swim class there is no possible way that you are a very large woman. It's my belief that he was just kidding. Even if it was implying what you think, kids are very sarcastic. But like a lot of other people are saying on here, he was probably naming you a whale because your size in relation to a small fish. Either way, I wouldn't take it to heart, I bet you look great. This is something that I would think twice about too so don't feel stupid for posting it. Also it was funny, people are mean saying that it isn't an FML. Obviously it was enough that it appeared on the website through all the moderating. This website is for everyday occurances that throw our day off that other people can have a laugh at, read the tutorial. People take things way too serious on here. They are extra ballsy in what they say because they know there is no face to their words. No one commenting on here (referring to anyone's fml post) would say the things that they would on the internet to someone's face. Everyone of these negative assholes are ******* that are hiding behind a mask...they know someone would punch them in the face in reality.
