Today, while trying to give an immunization to a "special" 13-year-old, I got spit on, kicked, almost bitten, and had a chair thrown at me. When it was all over, I flinched when the patient tried to hug me. Her mom called me a "b*tch" and I later found out she wasn't a "special" child. FML

Today, I went into an exam room to do a check-up on one of my patients. I told the little girl's mother that she needed her flu shots. When the girl heard this, she took an apple out of her pocket and threw it at me. FML

Today, while working in a blood drawing clinic, a mom sat in the chair holding her 4-year-old child, who kicked me square in the groin. Being a heavyset lady, I shrugged it off and collected the sample, while the child screamed, "Kicking worked on the last man that did this!" FML

Today, I had to give a 63 year old man a shot. He started bawling before I even brought out the needle. I tried to get him calm down. Then he grabbed the needle, threw it at me and ran out the door. FML

Today, a mother and son were in my office. The kid wasn't feeling well and threw up. Mom covered his mouth with her hand, creating a vomit nozzle and covering me in puke. She yelled that I deserved to be sprayed on because I was not quick enough in getting a bucket for her son. FML

Today, we had the cops called on us because my son was panicking so much about his first COVID jab, his older sister got fed up, took him outside, put him in a headlock and choked him unconscious so the nurse could jab him. Instead, the nurse called the cops. FML

Today, I was at the doctor and I had to get a fingerstick in the lab to get blood drawn. There was a 6 year-old boy waiting to go next. He was terrified. His mother told him to, "Watch this brave girl go first." I panicked and began to hyperventilate. The kid fainted. FML

Today, I took my kids to the doctor. In the waiting room, a six year old boy walked up to me, punched me in the crotch, and ran away with my glasses. When the kid's parents made him give me my glasses back, he spat on them. FML

f*ck that... I hate parents that can't control their f*cked up creations of damnation. plan ahead next time he comes in..put an drop of eyedrops on a chocolate chip cookie and give it to the kid. when he gets home, he will have the craps and it will be lovely payback... do this at your own discretion I will not be responsible for anything legal suits lol

This reminds me of the time I had to get an IV put in me for a tilt-table test. The first time was okay, but by the third time I was sobbing. Damn my weak veins. I guess we all have different ways of showing our nervousness of needles. Biting is just on the extreme side. Not that I condone it or think it's okay.

Are we SURE the kid is alright in the head. The mother doesn't sound like someone who would want to get that checked out. And he is 13 - I have always been scared of needles (thinking of getting my blood drawn still makes me dizzy), but when I was 13 I would have been embarrassed to be acting like this kid. He doesn't sound okay. Also I'm American and I write "special." It stems back from the letterpress/typewriting days because a period inside the quotes takes up less space than the other way around.
