Today, while trying to quit my horrible job at a pizza place, I got so nervous that I accidentally offered to work double my usual hours for another month. FML

Write down a notice of resignation. If you write it out and hand it to the manager you won't be so nervous you can't speak up, and it looks more professional. Good luck OP

That would make op look bad for other jobs.

You are preparing.. Leave with some extra money. You never know..

befriend your boss on Facebook.say something bad about your job and boss. make sure they see it. maybe you will lose your job that way

This is a bad idea. Possible employers in the future might ask why they'd been fired. The internet also never forgets. If OP can't tell their boss they want to quit in person, they should rather consider writing a notice instead of trying to get their boss to fire them.

I really hope you're making more than just a buck for an entire shift.

damn buddy, you should try to talk it out and let him know thats not what you meant, I hope you don't have to deal eith what you accidentally said, goodluck OP!

Their boss cuts them off when they start to give their resignation and says something like "Oh, OP I need you to work these extra shifts. Thank you for your hard work and dedication to this job." Chances are, if OP suffers from an anxiety disorder, they felt guilted into it and accepting the extra hours was a temporary diversion from having a panic attack. I could be wrong, but this is written from personal experience.

Just don't show up. People here keep saying that's terrible, but I've done it for several jobs now, and I keep getting better ones. I continue to move up in the world... It has not been a detriment.

How does that happen? Lol details pleasee
