Today, while tuning my bass guitar, I noticed a very strange screeching sound. I leaned over to look behind the neck. The biggest string snapped off and cut the side of my face. FML

A bass string snapping?! You must be a newbie, those things are so thick, for them to snap you're doing it completely wrong. I am guessing you want to be all knowing and didn't want to use a tuner, and started to thighten and loose tr string many times over. Same thing happened with me when I started guitar 10 years ago lol but it was the high E so it was a shallow cut. Never look that closely at a guitar when tuning and you hear a schreech.

ouch. now I'm scared to tune my bass guitar. once when I was at orchestra pratice the band teacher had taken over and he decided to tune my stand up and he cranked the d string so hard he broke it and it hit my finger.

same thing happened to my gutair, except all of the strings snapped in quick succession. I later found out that my little brother had been seeing how far they "bend" and he tried cutting them to make them "bend" farther. fyl man, I know what you mean.

You need stitches? Not you "got stitches" or you "have stitches"? Your very first concern was telling the internet how your life is now ******, not gaping wound in your face? You're obviously an idiot, though it's impossible to tell if that's because you have absolutely no grasp of proper tense usage or simply because you're too stupid to immediately seek medical attention for facial trauma.

hey. at least it didnt hit your eye and you can still type this fml you whiny bitch

YDI for SUCKING at tuning, the E string which i suggest you refer to as such next time is the toughest to break, in fact, to have that string break it has to either be a 1$ string, or you have used it for more than 20 years, I have an old bass in my family of over 30 years old, the E and A string never broke. And if you were using a tuning tool to help yourself out and failed, that's an ultra fail. You totally deserved it, l2tune.
