@#13, #7 did spell " there " in the correct form, smart ass.
29 – No, arguing with him about whether racism exists is more like arguing with a linguist about whether morphology is concatenative or rule-based. 37 – I'm white and I'd hate to have a minority who can't spell picked over me so that the employer will look good or whatever. Plus, there's the soft bigotry of low expectations – as a female university student, I know I've been picked for certain awards over male students who deserved them more (like a merit scholarship I was chosen for during my senior year of high school, instead of any of five guys in my grade who were also nominated for it; they took harder classes and got better grades in them). It doesn't feel like an achievement to me, because it's totally obvious that they were better students and were more deserving of the recognition. I'd probably feel the same way if I were an underrepresented minority and the others were white students of the same gender.
#29 - if you (presumably a chemist of some sort) went and claimed Gold as a noble gas, your degree or job wouldn't matter when checking an appropriate dictionary can show what is and isn't a noble gas. Also, we don't know which race(s) the people in this story are, so arguing based on assumptions is... well, that.
#19 "People of Color cannot be racist against White People." This is crap. I've seen racism from people of all colours and social backgrounds. And just because someone has done some course on sociology, doesn't make such an absurd statement suddenly true. Even if you've conveniently redefined the meaning of "racism" to fit with your statement, you would still have needed to explain what definition of "racism" you were using. In its normal definition, anyone can be racist against anyone else. I certainly agree with your statements that white males control the vast majority of wealth and power in America. But there are more factors going on there than just racism. And of course, just because a small number of white males (your words) control the wealth and power doesn't mean that you can logically label all white males racist (or even elitist). All that glitters, etc. I also note you don't make any comment about white men vs white women nor coloured men vs coloured women. You're not swapping racism for sexism, now are you?
"People of Color cannot be racist against White People." #19 -- You are such a fool.
#53. Exactly. P.S. When are people going to stop citing Obama and Oprah as prime examples colored achievement? There were 43 WHITE presidents before Obama and a million WHITE talk show hosts before Oprah. That just makes them the first and the exception to the rule. It doesn't make them representative.. ..Oh and people tend to forget that Obama's mother is a white woman from Kansas.
Could you blame black people though? The most powerful country in the world was built on their backs, then dropped on top of them. The have never gotten any thing similar to Native Americans Reservations, Asian-Americans reparations, or even the free schooling. There is a educational and wealth gap that still persisted, whose roots can be traced back to slavery. The "bitch" who hit the car was probably wrong but, can you blame her for being defensive?
Wow, what a ******* bitch. I hate it when people think they can pull the racist card to get themselves out of anything and get some one else in trouble. Ugh.
what a bitch!!!!!

I'd hit a bitch.
