Today, while working at Dairy Queen, a customer asked me what was so special about our ice cream cakes, and how they're different from regular cakes. I chuckled, and told her it's because they're made from ice cream. She threw a fit, which resulted in me being written up and sent home early. FML

She's the one who should get written up by life for being dumb. All ice cream at Dairy Queen.

Bad Boss FMLs make me thankful I get along with my boss. He does not micromanage, isn't a jerk and a genuinely nice person.

Reminds me of the FML where a lady hid an ice cream cake in the cupboard and got angry when it melted

I agree that sucks. Maybe she was mad about the chuckle. I'm sure some places don't have them. I know you can't buy peanut butter in some parts of Europe because it's too unhealthy. Hard to find I should say.

Sounds like something a stoned person would say.

To me it sounds as if the customer may have gotten upset because it sounded like you where being sarcastic. Because you chuckled and then stated the obvious she may have felt like you where looking down on her, or just getting an attitude. when she asked what the difference between the DQ cakes and "regular cakes", she probably meant regular ice cream cakes. I think things where blown out of proportion, but i also think you're not completely blameless.

not as bad as being sent home for refusing someone ice cream even though there was a tornado visible from the window...
