Today, while working at McDonald's, a woman returned to the drive thru because her fries weren't hot enough. She was so angry about coming back that she threw her cold fries at me through the window and told me to "choke on them." FML

A very similar thing happened to my boyfriend recently. He works overnights and EVERYTHING they make is fresh because of quantity control for the late hours. A lot people look down on McDonald's employees but they don't seem to realize that it's not an easy job, especially when they have to deal with customers who degrade them and assault them. Which this lady DID assault OP. a lot of people who work at McDonald's are college and high school students, and older people who never had the opportunity to get education. If something isn't right, don't be ****** rude. Just because you deem their job as worthless or less than yours doesn't make you superior. it just makes you a dick.

To quote what I saw on tumblr: "If you look down on someone working at McDonald's and tell them to get a better job, while wanting them to give you quality service, you won't have anyone giving you those Oreo Mcflurries you want." Aka: Don't be an asshole. This advice should be followed by customers AND employees alike!

customers don't get that its not the cashier's fault for cooking problems. but..... "The customer is always right" :/

Ehm, at McD's it often IS the cashier also handling the food.

#114 It depends on the layout of the restaurant. #111 Is referring to the fact sometimes the cashier is not taking orders and is held responsible on how the food is made in the grill area. The cashier should never be the one making the food. The only way the cashier would handle the food is if they were on front counter bagging/ putting it on a tray. Rarely does the cashier handle food in drive-thru unless its early mornings or late night service.

I really hate customers like that, I don't feel like we need to be treat worse than dirt by these people

I hate when they do that. Working at McDonald's can suck, I would know

I feel you I got yelled at fucktard for ten minutes straight and got an empty coke can in the face just because I followed my workplace politic that states that we can't take thrash at the drive-thru window some people are just dicks

I know how you feel I too work at McDonald's and have been refused days off that I requested telling them I had important things to do that day and was scheduled anyways. And now if I don't show up today I'm fired.
