Today, working at a fast food restaurant, I saw a woman in her late thirties pull out some hair and put it in her food, then threaten to sue me and the restaurant. She also told me no one would believe me, a teenager, when I told her I saw her put it there. FML

Try to get a DNA test to prove it. your witnessing would be probable cause.

Let her waste her time filing a lawsuit. There are no damages for her to seek so it would be frivolous.

Tell your manager and let him handle it. Don't risk your job over a few-dollar order.

First off, no lawyer is going to file a suit on a fast food chain. Well... Maybe Donald Trump's lawyer would.

Should have taken the food with the hair in it first, said to her...now pay your bill or we will be taking you to court for attempted extortion. You have just give us the evidence and enough witness to do so. Empty threat like hers, but she would have paid the bill. Just needed to call her bluff.

Sorry OP. Some people are just crazy. You shouldn't feel too threatened though, as she has no basis to sue.

Maybe ask to look back on security cameras for proof?

I asked my manager to review the security camera footage, we tried to kick her out, we ended up calling the police and she was taken in handcuffs while screaming still, what a crazy bitch but as far as I know she's not allowed back into Wendy's :)

Well that's good. One less crazy person you have to deal with at work. I can never go back to working in the food business. Once was enough for me. I applaud you for dealing with all the customers everyday.

Check the restaurant's cameras if it has any

Stick to your guns. Don't away from telling the truth. No matter how hairy it gets between you and the customer. Don't let her get away with it.
