Today, my husband and I are sick. He keeps whining about how bad he feels. I'm just as sick, as well as 7 months pregnant. I've not only been taking care of his whiny ass: I've cooked, cleaned, and gone to the store several times because the tissues we had were too rough on his nose. FML

Today, I've been horribly sick with a stomach virus. Six hours ago, I asked my husband to go to the store and get me a few things that would help ease my misery. He's still in bed and I'm cleaning the house in between bouts of vomiting. FML

Today, my husband has pneumonia and is in bed. Our baby is ill and can't go to daycare. I take care of them both, frantically trying to meet my freelance deadlines while they sleep. I am so tired I want to cry. FML

Today, I'm pregnant and feeling awful due to all-day-long morning sickness. My doctor suggested that I cancel all my social plans to be able to keep working. My doctor is also my husband, and the father of this child. FML

Today, my husband and I are both suffering from food poisoning. He has horrible, raging, rank smelling, explosive diarrhea; I am vomiting every 15 minutes. We have one bathroom. FML

Today, I have the flu. I had to wash the dishes, cook dinner, take out the trash, and take care of the laundry, all while my wife sat around watching TV, because she was "too tired". I work 8 hours a day. She's a college student. She doesn't see what's so unfair about this. FML

Today, my kids caught a virus from school. My husband stayed home with them since I make more money and he didn't want to risk me getting sick. Guess which adult has the runs and is puking every five seconds. Nope, not him. FML

Today, I woke up feeling awful, having caught the same illness my boyfriend had last night. When he was sick, I skipped my friend's baby shower to take care of him. Now that I'm sick, he goes to a friend's place, says to call if I need him, then turns his phone off. Seriously. FML

Just leave him alone for a few hours and he will realize that life indeed can be tough. Teach him a lesson. If you don't do it now you might never get a second chance.

Sorry my love, but YDI because you're enabling him! Man flu is real but he needs to get his act together, you are heavily pregnant! I would worry about what kind of father he's going to be if he lets you baby him when you ought to be the one getting looked after

all I see is that he have really runny nose.. been there.. and my nose used to hurt like hell.. so give him a chance.. don't whine about it..

Sorry about your runny nose, you poor soul. But a runny nose doesn't add a lot of weight, back pain, nausea, discomfort, heartburn, weak bladder, swollen ankles, exhaustion and various other things that non-sick pregnant women go through. This makes it hard and even painful to even move. Now add a weakened immune system and an illness to the equation. OP's husband may have a sore nose but it pales in comparison to how she probably feels and yet he is the one expecting to be taken care of. OP is allowed to whine in this situation.
