#10 Sorry but, in the same car as him, saying in their native tongue that "she could do so much better" - IS being a total ******* ass in my book. But its relative I guess. This would of been a good FML for the poor guy, though.
Wait... why was her mom in the car?
#11, you're an asshat. I speak 3 languages as well. What, are they supposed to speak in French so that he knows what they're saying? So he gets even more hurt? Wow. Great solution there. There was another FML just like this except the person spoke in Swedish about another person and they just happened to speak it as well. Either way, it's embarrassing. Get off your high horse and get over yourself.
And lmfao @ #12. WIN. I speak French too. Big deal if no one can understand me.
Just. Stop
#7 - I don't think the OP is an asshole =/, its the mother that instigated it, its just another one of those great situations where parents just have to embarrass their children :P. (And yes, the OPs mother was being rude, however she wasn't the one that suffered for it)
And Im sure many more will flame me for letting them know its not as cool as they think to talk languages someone present cant understand. Especially if youre talking shit. So ill just leave this here so i can go back to class: **** you all =)
how are you getting this upset about it? You also do sound a bit high on the horse.

I guess lesson learned, don't give crushes rides home with mom in the car. Especially if your mom is a shit talker.
Sorry, but how to you forget to tell whomever you're spilling your heart out to that the guy you're obsessing over is such-and-such nationality? Maybe it's just me, but I drool at the sound of an accent, and having the fact that 'this guy is French' slip my mind...? Not going to happen. You can't control your mom, but I still think YDI. Simply because if she acted like this in front of him, she must have done it before. Therefore, just avoid the whole conversation and don't give the crush a ride home.

Parents always say stupid things. It's not like you can't expect it at least once in your life. Sometimes it can even be out of jealously.
