Welcome to adulthood

Today, I confronted my 18-year-old daughter about her excessively lengthy showers. She said she didn't see the big deal, considering the water "comes free with the house." No dear, it doesn't. FML

Let her pay a bill and then see how she feels about her shower length.

Just do what my mom used to do, bang on the door and yell until she gets out. Or invest in a shower timer.

Turn off the water when she takes a long shower next time.

Turn off the hot water when you think she should be done. Her showers will get shorter - quickly!

Mum goes outside and turns the hot water off from the main

If you had a tank to collect Rain water then it would come for free with the house

Tell her she needs to find a cheaper way to **********. Rechargeable batteries might help reduce her self-abuse budget.

When the next heating & water bill comes in, perhaps shower girl should pay the bill.

In school, they teach you "ways to save electricity". One of the main ones is short showers to reduce the cost of heating. There, you learned it.

I have free water, it comes from a well, about 5 gallons a min. Just the electric pump cost money wait i have a solar panel.

She's 18, make her a compromise, tell her she can take her hot showers and then pay the water bill. See how free she finds it now.
