You're going to hell

By he's not the one going to hell - 12/09/2014 21:11 - Australia

Today, some assface hacked my recently deceased friend's Facebook account. The person changed my friend's location to "Hell", then posted a status saying how hot the weather was, and replied "I wish :'(" to someone who'd said my friend was in a better place now. FML

#59, actually, you're wrong. A hacker is anybody who subverts computer security. That's literally the technical definition. If you guess your best friends facebook password you're a hacker. This person did hack the account, it doesn't matter that they (probably) didn't use fancy programming to do it. In future, don't take everything you know from wikipedia and treat it like gospel, and don't be an ass as you do it.

First off, let me say I'm sorry for your loss OP. And also, I'm sorry because my first thought was "it's more like F his life". It took me a moment to realize how bad that would sound, jokingly or not. Neither you or your friend deserve something that hateful.

No YOU are wrong. Your definition comes from mass media. Nobody in the real hacking community calls those criminals hackers. Everyone who attacks other people's accounts is a criminal not a hacker. Real hackers are people like Richard Stallman, Larry Wall, Linus Torvalds, Gynvael Coldwind etc. Attacking systems could be considered hacking if the method used by the attacker were innovative. A while ago Gynvael and J00ru found thousands of bugs in adobe software. That's hacking. Cracking a facebook password is just lame.

oh my gosh that's the most terrible thing I've ever heard! can u report it?

What a jerk sure hope he didn't change the password so that way It can be closed

Oh lord....What did your friend do to deserve such disrespect? That's just heartless of the guy who did that.. And people wonder why the world is so messed up today. Its because of heartless people I hope you are coping well with the loss of your friend.

the deceased friend probably asked him to do that as a joke

I'm sure FB has a way to contact them and ask to delete another's account but only if they dead or something.
