Today, it's the first day of our honeymoon. My bride just informed me that she invited her ex-husband to come, so he can spend time with the kids. He will be here in 4 hours. FML

Isn't a honeymoon meant to be without the kids? Actually, also without the wifes ex? Maybe send the kids home with the ex and enjoy your honeymoon?

If the ex-husband has agreed to watch the kids while their mother is on her honeymoon, unless there's something else we're not being told, that means: 1) You and your wife won't have to spend your honeymoon looking after them. 2) Your wife and her ex-husband seemingly have an amicable relationship, and he's cool with her marrying someone else. 3) The childrens' biological father is still involved in his childrens' lives, which is great, and also means OP and him would inevitably meet. So honestly, that all sounds good. The only issue here, is that OP and his wife clearly didn't discuss childcare arrangements beforehand. Like maybe dropping them off at her ex-husband's before going on the honeymoon? Hopefully he's not there to be a third wheel - but a childminder, so your new step-kids don't end up being third wheels themselves.

I'm not sure either of you understood the concept of a honeymoon being a couple's holiday, not a family vacation. I mean sure it sucks she brought in the ex-husband to watch them, but what would your plan have been? Or did you just forget about your step-children? Why did you get married if you're still hung up over her ex? He's the father of the kids, he's gonna be around. Why did they not stay with him in the first place? How come you never talked about any of this until the honeymoon started? But most importantly, is there still time to annul that marriage? Cause it seems like you got some major communication and boundary issues, my friend, and those usually don't dissolve with time or a wedding vow.

Unless you wanted a G-rated honeymoon, getting the ex-husband to watch the kid sounds like a blessing.

1. Why are your kids on your honeymoon with you? 2. WTF is wrong with your wife?

And i say *your* Because they're now yours too.

After your honeymoon is over you should take your wife to marriage counseling. She definitely need to learn how to communicate with you before something happens that she knows will upset you.

Sounds like it's not too late for an annulment.
