Today, my girlfriend and I moved back in after over a month of couch hopping and $2,000 of heat and chemical treatments for a chronic bedbug issue. I just found bedbugs on my legs. We've used all our favors and have nowhere to go. FML

best you can do is a hotel for now or stay with either a parent or sibling if you can. or rent a camper. and if you had someone come treat your home like a bedbug company or pest control. call them asap and tell them they need to come treat it again for free bc it didnt work the first time. most companys have a guarantee of some sort.

Call the company that fumigated your place and complain; be polite about it but if they fixed your bug problem you shouldn't have bugs; they need to come back and re-fumigate. As for living somewhere talk to a close friend let them know what's up and home for some sympathy/pity

except the fact that it might not have been the fumigator's fault. It is very common for bed bugs to travel WITH YOU as you leave to have your place bombed. Happened to a cousin of mine. She had them bad in her house. stayed with her sister while it was being done. afterwards..moved back into the "bug free" home, only to put her old comforter back onto her bed, re-infesting the house all because she didn't get new bed sheets/comforter

I'm willing to bet that your assumption the bedbugs had been crawling on this person's legs for a month and he didn't notice it until he was back at his house, is incorrect, and I'm going to assume the house wasn't properly fumigated if there were still bedbugs in the house.

Are you sure they're bedbugs? My sister's coworker has been having a bedbug problem that they can't get rid of. She walked into work with my sister one day and my sister found a flea on her...

I'm going to go ahead and assume that after a month of dealing with this, that the OP, his girlfriend, and the employees at the pest control company know the difference between a bedbug and a flea. Maybe your sister's coworker had both fleas and bedbugs.

Try Diatomaceous Earth and an industrial heater. That's how my family and I solved our bed bug crisis. It saved us thousands.

Yup. Bag your mattress and pillows with DE inside the bag, sprinkle DE in all the cracks in your bedframe, work it into the carpet or, if you have hard floors, sprinkle it over the baseboards. Also move your bed away from the wall a bit and make sure there aren't any drapes touching the bed and the floor.

fumigation only serves to drive bedbugs into the floorboards and hibernate. getting a proper exterminator who will actually spray high-risk areas is definitely recommended. also running clothes, sheets, etc. through the dryer will serve to kill any stragglers, and be sure to make sure that they haven't infested your vacuum. best of luck

fumigation is heat treatment that actually kills them and they spray the poison. but if you're place is really cluttered there's a good chance both these options wont kill them all.

Mix half water and half vodka it will kill bedbugs on contact plus it has the added bonus of 2 sprays for the bed and one for you repeat as needed and soon they will all be gone or you will be smashed and not care lol

Not sure why you'd dilute the vodka - it's perfectly safe to spray on fabrics at full strength, and as a bonus, will de-scent whatever you sprayed it on. This is an old theater trick for getting sweat-smells out of costumes when you don't have time to launder them between performances
