Love language

By upupandaway - This FML is from back in 2012 but it's good stuff - United States

Today, I spent two hours perfecting a really romantic text message to my boyfriend for our one year anniversary. I listed all the things I loved about him, and recalled some of our best times together. Two minutes after I sent it, he replied, "Huh?" FML

It's a text, never say anything meaningful in a text.

Sorry to break it to you, but the key to a man's heart is through his stomach and penis...not sappy text messages.

2 hours for one text is majorly excessive. Furthermore to (perhaps) being expensive, who the hell has the time to waste 2 hours staring at a phone? If you really felt that way you could have personalised a letter, not an impersonal text, and since it was an anniversary it's not like you didn't know it was coming up. Sorry, no sympathy here.

We guys are not known for our intellecual aptitude or emotional range, if you wer clear and concise in your message, he should have understood it, unless he is your stereotypical male, in which case you should be grateful for a more than a grunt.

I had a boyfriend break-up with me in a text. "what a dick move" right! He asked me to marry him a week later;-) True story!

I think that maybe...you overloaded him but also he could've been way more considerate

You can fit all the things you love about him in a text?

Omfg what an asshole to not remember and understand!
